Smt. Kalpakam Swaminathan 1922-2011
gAna vana mayUrI is no more. Kalpakam teacher passed away today (April 6, 2011) at her residence in Madras at the age of 88. I would like to remember her through this rendering of siddhIshvarAya namastE.

Condolences . Ramki . No one can understand the depth of sorrow at such times . Only time will heal . Consider yourself lucky to have been at close quarters to such personalities . I spent only an afternoon withh her , and I could write a book on my experiences . One of a vanishing breed.Indeed.
